Women’s Ministry Mission Statement
We are called by God to worship Him in all that we do, pray intentionally, share Christ, welcome new believers and new members into the family of God and joyfully disciple women to live biblically. Because of that, we want to be intentional, authentic, community-oriented, grace-filled women of God for the body of Christ at Redeemer Church and our surrounding neighbors.

1 Peter 4:10 says “ Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others.”

Spiritual Formation: Teaching women to think & live gospel-driven, biblical lives in all situations; presenting material, teachers & studies as a platform of forming Christ in our women; providing authentic community within the context of studying God’s Word, humbly applying it to our lives, encouraging others to do the same & encouraging mentoring relationships ( formal & informal). Head: Ginny Yates (205-222-4787)

Kindness In Action: Galatians 6:9,10 Serving one another through acts of mercy (meals for the sick, births, deaths; hospital presence; home visits; etc.), practicing hospitality, welcoming newcomers, practically helping those in need in our church. In doing these various things we want to bear one another’s burdens. Heads: Monnie Griffin (304-549-6659) and Vicki Hall (304-561-8172)

Outreach: Serving within the context of the RPC community, we will seek opportunities to love our neighbor as ourselves by sharing the Gospel to the lost. We will come alongside elder-approved local ministries that are practically meeting needs as they preach the gospel of grace. (Such as– Union Mission, Women’s Choice pregnancy center, etc ). Prayerfully this will strengthen us as a growing, authentic, serving, sanctified community & build relationships with real people that need to hear & see the gospel in light of the Great Commission in Matt. 28:18-20.
Heads: Betsy Neal (304-545-3094) and Melanie Phelps (304-550-7372)
Fellowship/Retreats/Special Events: Planning events (Get-togethers, wedding/baby showers, coffees, etc.) that present an opportunity for our women to grow in intentional, authentic grace-filled relationships as well as coordinating volunteers for church-wide dinners.
Head: Janice Marsh (304-389-2720)
