Do I need to get dressed up to visit Redeemer?

Will I be asked to stand up as a visitor?

Do I have to have my life together before attending?

Will there be coffee?

Those and many others are all legitimate questions that you might like to know before visiting us at Redeemer. Many answers are available below, but if you have others, feel free to contact us at admin@redeemerpcawv.org.

YOUR FIRST VISIT

  • Our worship starts at 10:30, but feel free to join us for Sunday School at 9:30 am. We have classes for all ages.
  • There are visitor parking spots right near the main entrance. You will be welcomed at the door by one of our greeters. They can direct you to the sanctuary, bathrooms and such. We have a friendly group here, so don’t be surprised if several folks shake your hand and offer you a  warm hello.
  • If you are a coffee drinker, free coffee and donuts are available on the information table. (If you have trouble finding it, just follow the kids. They know where the donuts are.)
  • You’ll notice that people dress in a lot of different ways. Most are on the casual side, but nobody will look askance if you come a bit more formally.
  • We have a diverse congregation with a nice mix of older, younger, married and singles. None of us are perfect and we are all dealing with the struggles of life, so don’t feel like you need to have it all together to join us.\
  • If you have little ones, we offer an infant nursery, Preschool Children’s Church (2-4) and Children’s Church (Age 5-2nd Grade) as well as a cry room with a video feed of the service.
  • Our worship begins with some brief announcements and a welcome, but don’t worry, we don’t put our guests on the spot. The service will include worship songs and some hymns (Often with new arrangements) led by the worship team.
  • In addition to our singers, there will be instrumentalists which often include guitars (accoustic & electric), bass, piano, drums, keyboards and sometimes special instruments.
  • An offering will be taken.
  • After a season of prayer, one of our pastors will preach the Word. We favor expository preaching here, which means we preach through entire books of the Bible, rather than doing more topical messages.
  • During this time Children’s Church begins in the Fireplace Room for age 5-2nd Grade for those who wish to participate.
  • At the conclusion of the service, feel free to hang-out and meet people or grill our pastors with super hard questions.
